the hop!!

Head over to Crazy-for-Books for this week's hop!!!

This week the question is:

"What book influenced or changed your life? How did it influence/change you?"

My answer would be (of course) the Bible. It changed everything for me when I first read it for real, not in church and so on. In it, I realized God loved me. That's all it took for my life to turn around.
In terms of a modern book that greatly influenced me, Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge is one that stands out. For more, click on the link for my review.

By the way, Crazy-for-Book's own answer really blew me away this week. It touched me deeply. You should all read what she answered.

I had put off reading Captivating but when I did finally pick it up it came at just the right time. There were so many parts of the book that I needed to read at the time of my life.

I almost said the scriptures as well, but I thought that's what everyone would say! I was wrong, though. I'm reading the New Testament this year - the stories of Christ always inspire me!

Glad to have found you via the Hop :)

I don't have a single book to point to. Come by and see why.

This will probably come of something as a surprise but the book that changed/influenced my life (more than any other) is a non-fiction book. I know we all focus on novels and the fanciful fiction we love to read but The Four Work Week is the book that gets all the credit. I know the title sounds fictional but it really isn’t. Hop over to my blog and find out why – http://www.howardsherman.net

Happy Book Blogger Hop Day!

Hey, great to know you've read the Bible. I've tried so many times, but I can't... Maybe when I'm older :L The bits I've read though, were very influential too. =]
